is because anyone sane enough to have that view point is rational enough to assume those who do support the troops only know how to respond to what they don't agree with violence, fear, ignorance and rage...which people don't want done to themselves or cars....seems ironic that the only time we need murderous nutters to defend us, its from murderous nutters......There are people who do not support the war...or the troops...same difference, how do we deal with murderous jerks other than patronize and ignore them?

All you have to do is listen to Rumsfeld trying to rally the troops by calling anyone who disagrees a morally confused person.
Listen to right wing radio or Ann Coulter or your neighbor down the street. These people are literally on the verge of calling for violence to change this nation to a version that would exclude anyone with a dissenting opinion. Funny thing fascism.... you almost never see it coming...kinda like that scene in Monty Python's The Holy Grail and then wammo it's on top of you.

You should always support the troops for two reasons:
1. They're there to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
2. If you are against the war, you should still rally for the troops to win the war so they can come home!
You are right though, you can't be against the war and for the troops at the same time; that is impossible. It is either one or the other.

They are not the “same difference” as you say. I supported the invasion of Afghanistan but opposed the invasion of Iraq. I supported the troops in both cases. It’s not a question of not supporting the troops; it’s a question of not supporting our idiot president that has done so much to weaken our country both internally and externally by tossing away the lives of thousands of our troops who are not much more than kids following orders.
By the way, I do see plenty of anti-Bush stickers on cars.

You can disagree with the war, that is perfectly fine, but don't make this another Vietnam by taking it out on the people who sacrifice themselves for this country. They had nothing to do with starting the war and should be treated with the utmost respect.

i don't support the troops being where they are. but i support the military. the reason there aren't stickers like that is simply propaganda and nationalism. we had that, and the country might get upset. maybe another civil war, and it'd be bad. i disaprove of it, but this is how they are keeping us united.
