Strokes don't happen because of emotions. Strokes happen because of bleeding of vessels in the brain, or blockages in the arteries. Some medical conditions can lead to strokes, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetes. However it is completely possible to die of a broken heart, because you lose the will to live.

No one can blame a stroke on sadness or dissapointment....but the mind/body connection is definatly there. There would have to be an anurism already close to rupturing that probably would of happened sooner than later anyhow.
I have a feeling you have a relitive who died shortly after some big loss and people say they died of a broken heart.
The mind/body connection is strong but if saddness killed people I wouldn't be alive now.
Strokes can happen for no reason at all......the body can carry around a major artery with a bludge on it for many years in a very otherwise apparently healthy person and take their life at the least expected time.

If you are at risk of stroke you have to try to prevent raising your blood pressure. Stress can be a factor in that. If you feel under stress about something you should try to find some relaxing activities or therapies to keep you calm.

To Be a friend of child Is a not bad idea i think, and go to the church talk with others share the sadness and disappointment.
If you have a yard, why not plant some the flowers you like.or you can talk with the social worker to find friends near your home.

It depends on the person's health.
But in my idea you only get stroke if you eat unhealthy food like fats and lots of calories. Also those people who don't exercise has a high risk of getting stroked.

As it has been found that depression seems to be caused by restricted blood flow to the brain, VERY!
When blood flow was restored, depression went away.
