Netflix is slightly better in term of delivery time. But it all depends on where you live, if you live in big cities, delivery time is pretty much the same. With same price $17.99 a month, Blockbuster gives you 4 extra movie rentals at their local stores - it's a better deal. http://www.idvdrentals.com/blockbuster-online.php

I have had both and I like Blockbuster better. For $10 a month, I get one movie at a time, up to three a month, plus one free in store rental a week. If I rent two movies in the store, it pays for itself. Plus I get the mail order ones. This way I can get the new releases on release day plus I can order the ones the stores don't usually carry. Most blockbusters still have the extra week added onto the due date, so late fees still aren't an issue. Unless you have a large family and want numerous rentals a month, I like Blockbuster better due to being able to also go to the store to get rentals when it strikes me.

The only real difference is that blockbuster gives you a couple of certificates each month that you can also use for free instore rentals. But I wouldnt use them because then Id have to spend the time and gas going to blockbuster, so Im sticking with Netflix.

Blockbuster only started an online rental because it saw netflix's taking its customers with the no late fees thing so it pretty much copied the idea. I'd go with netflix's but maybe block buster is cheaper i don't know but it looks a lot like blockbuster is using netflix's idea.

I've tried Netflix, Blockbuster, and Intelliflix. Stay away from Intelliflx because their service is awful. (I've been trying to cancel my account for a week. I keep getting e-mail from their sales reps but still haven't cancelled.) Blockbuster was convenient for me since there is a store down the street and I could walk there to use my free certificates. At first the certificates could be used for either games or movies. When they changed the certificates so that I couldn't rent games, I quit them. Netflix was the best from a service and selection standpoint.

netflix gets your movies faster to you, they also seem to have a bigger selection, also with netflix i was able to get new release's on Tues, blockbuster not always only advantage i see is that you get 1 in store rental per week free for a year, thus you can get the movie that's a long wait probably that day...i want to go back, but i do like the in store rental..

ohh yay a question I really want to answer :)
I felt the same way well actually I started hating Netflix.. changing my schedule of movies sent out sometimes taking abit longer.. but then I did the free trial of Blockbuster.. HA yea they had acouple more movies.. but it would take literally 4 days for me to get 1 movie.. when I could get 4 movies from Neflix in about 2, and when I sent it back they sent me out my # of movies the next day.
Since then I LOVE netflix :)
but you can always try blockbuster out for the free trial, thats what I did :)
good luck

i used to use netflix. i closed my account for money reasons. when i tried to go back, they only accept credit cards now.so i went to blockbuster. i think the selection is a little slimmer, but other than that, i think its pretty much the same.
