Hey, just because you're a guy doesn't mean you can't take a long hot bath. If you don't want to do that, try a hot shower. It'll relax you.

Relax for an hour or so before you go to bed. That way your body won't be all revved up and ready to go. A little light reading and a soothing cup of tea might help too. Herbal blends with chamomile or Valerian root in it are especially helpful.
Good luck!

Keep yourself physicaly busy during the day. More than usual and you will be tired. Try winding down early with low lighting no computers or T.V. and get a quiet hot bath and then drink some warm milk and go to bed with everything dark and quiet.

Maybe a long, tiring work out may help....I'm talking 2 hour work out.....after practice (when I was in the game) I always got a good night sleep. Fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow

Drink warm milk:
Tryptophan, found in milk, makes you sleepy and the warmness slows down your body function, sending you closer to sleep
Cut out caffeine by 7pm
Dim your bedroom lights
Don't exercise before 3 hours to your bedtime
Read in bed, it helps
If you dont fall asleep in 30 minutes, dont stay there. Watch TV or something. You don't want to condition your body to seeing your bed as stressful (insomnia).
Good luck

use Green tea it is called sleepy time tea you can get that at walmart with the Tea of course. Drink it warm with some honey for sweetner or sugar which ever you choose. don't watch t.v. while you are trying to go to sleep it don't help. Just listen to soft music. it also works to take a shower and then fixing the tea to drink.

haha, I basically responded a query comparable to this. listed below are some information! -excersise in the time of the day -no meals or beverages to boot water until now mattress -get used to waking up early (in case you awaken early, then you particularly would be so drained at night you will nod off quicker and extra useful) -do away with lights and sounds -open a window -fluff your pillow, replace your sheets and turn your mattress -do no longer learn or do homework on your mattress i think of the main severe ingredient for you: -do no longer pay attention to song, watch television,or circulate on your computing gadget until now mattress, doing this stimulates your ideas, making it very difficult to nod off.

Meditation, deep breathing (slowly in through the nose, out through the mouth) and try to read a good book while laying down. That makes me sleepy. Goodnight!

How about doing some lite stretching? That feels soooo goood!
Work your body gently!
Sometime before bed, you could have some sleepy-time tea. But, I like the stretching, feeling your own body better.
