Because he let the school buses remain idle while New Orleans citizens died. Nagin is an incompetent buffoon and I stopped contributing when he was reelected. If that is the level that those people accept then they should wallow in their own filth

Rush Limbaugh is typically wrong when you consider his statements in terms of reality. I am sure its probably all the oxy.
In response to the hind-sight call for school buses please consider the following:
When the levees broke was there time to get a bunch of school buses out to the flood zones and save lives? Katrina didn't hit N.O. directly. Ask anyone from Mississippi. The destruction in N.O. wasn't due to wind. The disaster happened because the levees broke and by that time a school bus would have surely been a futile thing to attempt to send into a flooded neighborhood. No one predicted the levees to break in this specific storm although the scenario had been considered.
The real question is why had the levees not been reinforced in years with the Federal money that was previously reserved for that purpose? The simple answer is that Louisianna and N.O. were a Blue State and a Blue City. It doesn't excuse Nagin, Bush, Chertoff, nor Brown, but it surely doesn't make Nagin a criminal or grossly negligent. The U.S. government contributed to the disaster by not responding for 5 days.
Don't be fooled by people with no respect for the details and a grudge.

Let me say that, well, Limburger is an idiot (he needs to stop stealing Viagra before condemning other people), but everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, had some share of blame for the Katrina catastrophe. Ray Nagan should have used the school buses to get people out of there, however, if you drove a school bus and YOUR family were in danger and needed to get them out of there, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Ray Nagan was wrong using the phrase "Chocolate City", but at the same time, O'reilly stated they would have gotten out of there if they had better education(?), Mrs bush (dubbaya's mother) talked about the people living in the Houston Astrodome being better off than they were in New Orleans, and even one Senator stated what he considered behind closed doors that God finally got "rid of them". Racism from either side is wrong. Period.

You dint remember the 1000's of school buses that set and never were used to evacuate the poor who could not find any way out of the area during Katrina? You dint remember the pictures on the news of the buses lined up parked in the bus yard and the flood waters? You dint remember the lives lost because the city failed to respond in the days and hours before the levies were breached and the buses went unused?

I'm with the lib dems on this one... it's really awful to blame deaths from a natural disaster like that on just one man who was unable to do anything...
I didn't see Rush Limbaugh helping anybody... that man is just clogging up the air waves with his righteous drunken anger...

Because the conservatives need someone to shift blame away from FEMA and the Bush administration, and if it's got a catchy handle, the more the better.
Frankly, if I wanted to chuckle at the goofy ramblings of a druggie, I'd borrow my friend's Cheech and Chong albums. They're way funnier than Rush.

Limbaugh was probable high on painkillers. Or he's a little shaken up from his 4th divorce. Or that anal infection he has on his butt which somehow got him a deferment from serving our country during Vietnam, has been draining into his brain.
