I am getting a tattoo on my vagina and I am having a hard time finding information on it. Things like if it okay to get one there, is it an area that most tattoo artists will do, and aftercare information.

Okay, let me clarify something. I want it done on the very top part of the area, above where the labia meet. Not by my opening or on the inside. I just need information on that. Immature answers such as gross, ick, and smell issues are wasting my time.

Are we talking internally? Or on the labia? I'm sure you should ask you doctor about this before you do it, that's an area you shouldn't put at risk lightly. And sorry, but I have to agree with "ick".
EDIT: Well, that makes a lot more sense. In the case of a pubic tattoo, just call around to reputable tattoo shops. They are the best source of information for tattoo care and since it's a personal decision for the artist whether or not they are okay doing one there, you'll have to ask individually. Just make sure you're clear on where you want it, and be sure to chose a CLEAN, safe shop.

Your coochie is gonna swell up and get infected.
Why don't you take the vagina-tattooing money and learn a foreign language, or take a mini-vacation, or buy a self-help book that will prevent you from altering your body in such a nasty way?
Get some self-respect and figure out why it is that getting your coochie tattooed is so important to you - maybe you just need to figure out that a tattoo in your vagina does not define who you are as a person.

Bad place to get a tattoo. I HIGHLY doubt a respectable artist will ink you there. The skin is really thin and sensitive. You'll bleed alot. It'll hurt a lot. And since there's hair there you'll have to get it waxed first. You sweat there a lot so it'll be hard to keep clean. Oh yeah, some random person all up in your naked crotch.
All around bad idea... Go for the pelvis.

Talk to your gynecologist about the safety issues, then if it is indeed safe, start calling local tattoo shops and asking if they do tattoos on genitals. If they say no, simply say thank you, and hang up. If they say yes, start compiling a list of those who do. Investiate the places on the list, and visit, the cleanest/ most sanitary ones to look at some of ther sample work. Once you find one that is clean, does genital tattoos, and has designs you like, set up an appointment.

I know were I'm from 98.9 the bear out of fort wayne In. They had a commercial about getting tattoos down there. I hope that helps. If you are in the area.

okay it is your body and if that what you wanna do then go for it but i wouldn't recommend that you do that i don't think that there is a site on that but when i went in for a tattoo there was a girl there getting one and she was screaming like hell and couldn't get it finished a when she left the guy clown her in front of me and my friends and said he charged her way over price thinking that she wouldn't go through with it because he didn't want to do and she was blinding bad he said and he told her that it was going to happen and made her sign an waver before he did because he really know that it was going to be painful but she insisted on getting it there

Why for ? The beauty of vagina is not based on tattoooo!!!!
If you are really going for it , you will never get your true --[natural] vagina back. Besides, it can cause many kinds
of health related disorders. On top of these, there are really
bad 'tatoomen' out there !!! BECAREFULL !!!!!

I dont really have much information but i would strongly advise you not to get one there. its such a delicate area and i dont think many ppl know too much about its long term effects.
