Ever been mesmerised by a song, but .....?

...When you listened to the rest of an artists material, it's overly bizarre?

I listened to two similar tracks from one artist on the radio. Then listened to large samples of the albums these tracks came from. Usually an artists music has glue, possibly from the contemporary inspiration that helped produce the album. But this artists other tracks were tangential.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Usually when this happens to me, it's because the songs that are so well put together and extraordinary, are written by someone who's known for writing exceptional songs. Or the writer isn't known yet, but will be soon because of their musical ability. This basically let's you know that the artist is not very talented.
