Just wondering. Its kind of weird because everyone claims to hate her but on itunes, if you look at the pop section and see the top 100 songs, almost all of her songs are on there. I'm not saying that I like her or not, I just wanted to know what people think, Thanks!

That's because people are undercover haters. They talk crap about her because they're jealous, and then go buy her album and vote for her video a million times. They're at home singing it while they type comments about how horrible she sounds. Thats just how it is. I like her song, and I don't care if her voice sounds fake, sorry.
I'm no big fan, but I'm also not a hater...

She is not a bad singer. She is not a great singer, but she isn't nearly as bad as many people say she is. The funny thing is that many of the people who put Paris down are the same ones buying her music. Anyway, don't forget that Paris had a lot of help with her album - great song writers, excellent musicians and backup singers, top producers and expert marketers. Also, she can thank God for technology - without all that studio equipment, we could tell how mediocre her singing really is.

That happens all the time. Everyone makes so much fun of a group or singer (Britney Spears, New Kids on the Block, etc.) but they're in the top 10. And no one claims to buy their CD's.
But about Paris, anyone sounds good when they sing into a digital machine that actually changes their voice to be on pitch. If she was really a talented singer, wouldn't we know before now?

Ummm... Paris Hilton is a horrible singer. First, she found herself a career as a reality show "actress" only because she has famous family members. Then she became really popular because she had this real "klutz" kind of personality and attitude on her show. Then her producers said, "why don't you try making an album? you're popular enough where a lot of people would buy you album." and that's the only major reason she sings. that and she thinks she can sing. high self esteem, I suppose.

Look, I have a friend who is a professional music mixer. Contract and all. In today's world, any bimbo...or half witted dude can sound good with the right mixing. The only reason Paris Hilton is on the itunes list is because of all the dumb followers she has. Every little product, merchandise, perfume, song, and stupid ugly mutts that she wears, sings, promotes or totes around in her posh bags (ugly dog) will be instantly gobbled up by her brain dead fanatical followers. So there you have it. In my opinion, she is the embodiment of all that is blond and stupid in this country.

she is not a bad singer or a good singer because she never sang a song. the "stars are blind" song its not her that is actually singing. notice how she talks and how the song is sung its not her voice. in the video she just lipsings. so u cant judge whether or not she is a bad singer since we never heard her sing. besides that video was ridiculous it was absolutely stupid. the only reason her song is on the top 100 chart is because she is paris hilton. she probably paid the people who put the songs on these top 100 to put her song on there.

I think she sucks. If she didn't have the money to buy her way in, she wouldn't have a singing career. I wonder what Simon would say? Most likely DREADFUL!
She doesn't sound that bad recorded, but I would love to hear her live. I bet she doesn't sound that good at all.
I am guessing she is on top of the itunes list because there are thousands of pre-pubescent and teenage girls that seem to think that she is the cats meow.

How many pop stars are good singers?
In today's culture popular music is dependent on the looks of the person. Like Brintney Spears. Pop is not the place to look for talent and substance and to me that's what makes good music.

There are great singers out there, and I don't own there album. I buy what makes me feel good. I do love here haunting voice, and sexy dance songs, But I don't own a Barbara Streisand Album, even though she is an awesome singer. There is something to say about songs that make you feel something, that's what music is all about, it's art, not perfection
