so, i have this really good friend who is SO sweet, and SO nice. We are like best friends...although we never did give eachother our phone numbers...one day he does. TOTALLY OUT OF THE BLUE, HE GIVES ME HIS PHONE NUMBER! so, as he gives it to me, he briefly says VERY shyly "here's my phone number" and walks away. Around me, he acts a little shyer around me, but not that much, and it seems hes always trying to get my attentionnHE HAS NNNEEEVVERRR acted like this before! What's your conclusion on this? and what shall i do?!?!?!

If he's shy be patient. Just let him be himself. The worst thing you can do is push him before he's ready. It sounds like he likes you. Be gentle and he'll come out of his shell.

Sounds like he has feelings for you. If you know him well why not give it a try. He was probably to shy to come right out and ask you to go out with him. I think he would be nice to go out with. If he was your friend for a while you could feel ver comfortable with him. May be he just wnt to be friends but would feel more comforable being alone with you that having other people around. What do you have to lose.If he is your friend I'm sure you don't have to worry about him hurting you. Good friends don't hurt each other. Good luck honey.

Well it seems like he likes you, and is not sure how to approach you.
You know maybe he is afraid of rejection.
Seems like a sweet guy, you might want to give him a chance.
But don't do it just because you feel sorry for him or whatever.
Do it because you are interested you don't want to hurt his feelings either.
Based on what you said sounds like a good guy with good intentions, you know now a days other guys usually just try to get into you pants and leave.
But its totally up to you and how you feel about him.

Keep acting like yourself but just do more simple things(Saying high,huggs,waves). As long as you keep being real youll come up with your own conclusion. Just dont make him feel uncomfortable. Im sure its hard enough for him as is.
