I started talking to my manager's brother *we had just met*. After talking for about 45 minutes *I made sure he knew I had a boyfriend, etc* he randomly tells me he went on a first date with some girl and he ended up having sex with her. He said he wasn't sure if he had made a good decision or not, but that perhaps something good would come out of it. I have no idea why he decided to tell me this. Was he trying to make me jealous? or, get my reaction? I can't completely make sense out of why somebody would want random people to know all their business.

Maybe he understood your hint that you have a boyfriend so he felt that he too had to tell you that he has a girlfriend- with whom he hopes something good will come? Or is it that he wants you so he's telling you he's had practise...

Well, ok, he was obviously interested in you sexually, or otherwise you wouldn't have had to mention that you had a boyfriend to dampen his ardor. To compensate for being rejected, he had to assert his ability to get women into bed, on the first date even! But he had to go about it in a roundabout way, so that it wasn't obvious that you had discouraged him. Men go through a lot of rejection from women, mostly because they are trying to get laid so bad. Be thankful he wasn't hostile towards you, as men can sometimes get.

sometimes talking to stangers (or almost strangers) is easier than talking to close friends about intimate details of your life. You would be a totally unbiased person in the situation.

Some people are just strange like that. Maybe it was his way of trying to impress you. I would ignore his comment and any other similar comments.

he probably thinks your cute and wanted to strike up a story so he could talk to you and see what your reaction would be to see if youd get jealous or what would happen
