Americans are obsessed with being unique. Yet we are so distressed, we take Prozac. What about nations like China or Japan, where they find fulfillment in being part of a group, and desire that their actions are for the greater good? The older I get, the more happiness I find in not having to worry about standing out and "being special", but working towards "the greater good", Maybe it's just the mommy hormones kicking in, who knows. But I'm happier then I've been in the past :)

I feel pretty good about it. I love being unique and I like sharing my world with other unique people. I don't feel any need to do anything to enhance my uniqueness because it is an absolute state and I'm already one-of-a-kind.

Exactly the way I'm supposed to feel...

Each individual is part of a greater collective. I share something in common, some thread, with every other person on this planet - every single one. Its the unique way those threads interweave that make me an individual.

But I'm still part of the collective. And for that, I'm very grateful.

It wouldn't be fun being "me" on my own. :)

I'm more like the rest of the people. I'm a very boring person who likes to be at home. Nothing fun going on here with me. Just broing ole me.
