Very nice. Save it for a woman who is CLEARLY interested in you- too intrusive for just anyone. May I suggest you raise her hand to your lips and maintain eye contact(more sincere) and make sure your lips are DRY. It is so bad to feel like you need to dry saliva off your hand!!! Instead of, "I hope to meet you again" which is rather vague, try, "I am so glad to meet you." If you want to see her again, for heaven's sake say so! "May I call you?" or "May I see you again?" is simple to add on while you have her hand in yours.

Well before all this modern day dating, there used to be the etiquette way of doing things. We live in a world now where shivery is basically non existent. But it's nice to know that there are still men out there who think traditionally. Don't get me wrong, I'm only 24, but I have been through enough etiquette training and "thug" relationships to know that women appreciate a kiss on the hand once in a while.

No, that's a terrible thing to hear (like after a date, I'm guessing?)...I like the kissing the hand thing but the "I hope to meet you again" basically says that you will not make an effort to get to know her better, and if y'all perchance ran into each other sometime later in life you could be friends or something...like you don't even want her number to get to know her better or anything...of course this is only devastating if she is interested in you as well.

well i guess if i went to a ball. but as a ordinary daily thing that happens... no

but im not sure. i guess it depends on the guy

after reading what the others said i must admitt the "i hope to meet you again:" part is strange. how about something like i will call you soon" or something

It seems a little cheesy to me, but I'm not much of a romantic. I've found that men who make grand gestures tend to be fake about other things too.
