I was thinking of taking her to the resteraunt where we met; then go for a walk after and pop the question then.. maybe even write a note and put it in my walet, then act like i forgot my ID and ask her to look in there while I look around for it. As she finishes reading the letter I was gonna ask her then. Does this sound cheesy ?

I would think any kind of proposal would be wonderful. It may be cheesy, but I bet she loves it.

I will tell you from a woman's point of view. The way that you propose to her will stay in her mind and heart forever. Where you are at and the cute way that you plan out the perfect scenerio is not what I am talking about. Don't get me wrong it makes us feel good when you guys go to all the trouble of planning something special for us. What I'm talking about is the way that you hold her, the way that you look into her eyes and tell her that you love her and want to spend the rest of your life with her. That is what she will remember until the end. By the way, you did ask her parents for their blessing didn't you? Don't think this is silly, her parents surely won't. It is an important part of starting your life together off on the right foot.Congratulations, and good luck.

Yes it sounds cheesy but I bet she'll love it!

Another idea would be to get the restaurant in on the act, and ask them to serve a note with the meal - probably with the last thing you're going to eat or drink, like dessert or coffee. If you have a specialist cake shop in your area, you could order a mini mud cake with "will you marry me" in icing on the top, then tell her you've arranged a special dessert. The restaurant may charge you something to serve the cake.

Of course this means you risk embarrassment if she says no in front of the whole restaurant - but if she says yes, every woman in the place will think what a great guy you are!

No it does not sound cheesy, that is a great idea.
I would love if someone proposed like that to me.
My best friend got proposed to at a baseball game on the big screen because they both love sports so find something that you like and do it that way...
Make sure you buy her flowers and a nice ring.......
Good luck bubby and i hope she says yes.

personally i feel that if you took her to the reteraunt where you meet and propose there it would would show that you remeber little things you might even want to have her parents meet you all there for the dinner and propose infront of them and her i would wait until you have ate then act like you droped your napkin or a fork and bend down to get it but get down on one knee and ask her she will be tottaly surprised good luck and congratulations on finding the one for you

sounds cute, but to involved..... the resturaunt is a nice touch, and so is the walk...... but as for the asking!! that needs to be with WORDS spoken not written...... a short poem is ok, but a letter ?? ummmm, nope..... sorry, just nope...... eat a nice meal, go for a romantice walk, in the middle of the walk, stop, get on ONE knee and pledge your love to her and place the ring on her finger...... that is the moment she will always remember....... God bless
