1. 6-7 for replacement of filter
2. 12 or more for complete fluid change, \
Get a manual to be sure. the specifications in a Haynes manual will tell you how much fluid you need for a filter change. The 15 bucks is worth it. The reason for the differing amounts is that the Torque converter holds fluid you cant easily remove...that would require removing the engine/Trans.
