I don't understand it anymore... is it just human nature, then? No one understands the relationship between me and my girlfriend... well, actually, fiancee... they think that the way they think the world should be is law, and that anyone who doesn't follow their way of life is doomed to fail... I hate that. No one can tell me how I feel.
My question: Why are people so ignorant? Is it nurture or nature?

Is true that there is a lot of ignorance filling the minds of many people. But its also true that we have to meditate and consider why them (the ones that you consider ignorant) act that way first. Maybe they know something you dont know or see things from the outside (things that you cant see).

Sometimes when other people give their opinion, their point of view piss off us, and we dont find it reasonable that they judge us, specially because we have the right to live our own lives. But, the fact is that many times we dont stop (if at least for a moment) to consider if what they're saying have some meaning or if it's the truth.

Everybody is entitled to have their own opinion and everybody have the right to live their lives and have their own opinions. But to consider others as ignorants just because we disagree with their opinions is not the correct thing to do. Maybe by discarding their opinions we are also discarding excellent feedback that will help us evaluate our lives and do better.

Hope my insight helps. Good luck!

Most of the time throughout history, people have always hated what they didn't understand. Not understanding and unwillingness to understand is root of all ignorance.

You'll need to narrow down the vast group.
Each sub-group has a different excuse for being ignorant.
Like...those that tend to lump EVERYBODY into one group....
