It happens all the time.
My daughter is working on her teaching degree now, after spending 5 years to experience travel and living other places. She is a much better student now too.
I took 25 years off ... then got an art degree ... what I always wanted to do ... (done did the business thing out of highschool cuz "they" said I should ... dumb dumb dumb!)
Okay, I havent accomplished mind-blowing things perhaps ... but I have raised 6 kids, and helped a lot of people, and now I am hopefully enriching lives with my art.

I finished high school, went to college for a semester, got married, worked, and 9 years after graduating, I am back in college. I haven't accomplished anything yet, but I am looking to become an RN. It can be done in a little over two years. Hope this helps.

actuall dropped out of high school, finished with home school, became stay at home mom for 3 yrs, then went back. i am a RN
