No, where on earth did you get that idea? You can't do anything like that to make you stop growing or get shorter even. Relax and enjoy.

Only if you lift too heavy or with bad technique. Your bones and cartilage are still developing. Work with a trainer or coach to set up a good program, and stick to the guidelines they give you. Don't push yourself to lift too much weight before you are ready to do it correctly -- you can injure yourself and that will set you back faster than anything else, and those kinds of injuries can have lifetime consequences. But actually, done correctly, weight lifting you do now can help you develop good muscle tone that can enhance your health and well being for years to come. The benefits outweigh the risks, just do it smart, get a safe program set up with some decent equipment, and you are good to go.

YES!
The bones grow b4 the muscles and you will cause the muscles to restrict that growth if they are too strong.
It should be safe to start lifting weights at 16/17, as the muscles would have caught up with the skeleton.
Go to the doc and ask to for advice.
Good luck

absolutely not. You haven't even stopped growing yet. Even if it did it can never stop the growth of your mind. Regardless of how tall or short you become has nothing to do on how successful you can become in anything in life.
Don't fret about it. Enjoy exercise the rest of your life because it is the true fountain of youth.

I am guessing so. I have met several not too tall people. they claim they lift weight when they were growing up.

Your call.
