They make games for older kids and grownups, so there is no age one needs to stop. If you enjoy it, its no different a passtime than reading or watching TV. When you were young, you had less responsibility and could play, be it video games or outside as much as you wanted. Now, you have more responsibility ( i assume) but your free time is still just as free as it was when you were a kid (theres just less of it)
As far as the fantasy aspect of video games: we live in a boring mundane world. I can't fly or go into space or go on a mideval adventure, but with imagination and video games i can, two hours a day and more on the weekend.) If you dont use your imagination and engage in the fantasy world every once in a while, you become totally immersed in a (relatively) dull world. One of a billion rats in a ratrace with blinders on, unable to stop.
Some people would say that fantasy is for kids, that you have to completely embrace only what is real. Im pretty sure that pixelated ninja im controlling is there, its real. If that doesnt convince you, nearly every american does nothing and watches non interactive TV, with video games your having to apply effort to get your entertainment, not just sit there. Youre challenged and you have to focus and use your hands. Its 1000% better for you.
I think some people are just afraid of fantasy and fun and want you to be the same.

About as much as it to too old to watch TV, listen to music, go to the movies, and be on a computer.

Video games aren't just a toy exclusively for kids anymore. Theyre a mainstream form of entertainment that is enjoyed by kids, teens, twenty-somethings, forty-somethings, etc. You're never too old to be a gamer. It's not a toy, it's an entertainment system, just like a DVD player or a stereo.

video games are universal and most are designed to be stimulating for all age groups so if you enjoy playing games then your not to old to play them however if you believe that the games are not for you then you may just be growing out of that stage so i suggest that you just find another genre that interests you and then you will answer your own question with this one..;...........

Your NEVER too old to play videogames!!! NEVER!!! Now, what TYPES of games...well, that's a different story. It's probably not a good thing if your 70, and your still playing Pong...or Frogger...ooor say, Duck Hunt...or even.....wait, those are all classics. Never mind.

I say, as long as you lead a balanced life, video games and television have no age limit. As long as it makes you happy, why stop someone?
