Someone has issues with Rap music. I must admit that Rap is not my favorite Genre and most of it I find ridiculous but Eminem I feel different about. It is my opinion that this man is brilliant. True some of his lyrics are a bit much and some of his songs are pointless. For the most part I think he raps about real issues. "Lose Yourself" is an amazing song lyrically. He has many other personal, meaningful songs on his album "The Eminem Show" and again on "Encore". So... to answer your question, yes! If Eminem was to enter a fifth grade talent show I think he would have many other talents then cussing and being a wigger, as you put it.

Just because one's work is laden with profanity doesn't make it "unoriginaly" or devoid of talent. Also, though, just because one 's work is laden with profanity doesn't automatically make it edgy and original, or good for that matter.
If you listen to the actual word selections, groupings and imigary that Eminem is capable of conjuring up you would see he does have a poetic talent.
One should not judge somebody as talentless just because they do not like the genre of work they do, and i quote the questioner : " mean. . . how would one sit through a two hour rap concert. . . It ALL sounds the same ..."
I could not sit through a two hour yodelling extravaganza, but I would never critisize the talents of the artists just because I not a Yodeling fan.
Strip away the cussing, strip away the ultra-violence and the feud with his mother. Listen to the words as notes of an instrument and you might find that the man makes music with his words.
As far as 50, I do not see the same qualitys in Fiddy as Eminem, although they are lumped together.

Lol, I'm so with you. And what is up with that bringing the whole neighborhood when they win an "award," they don't even fit on the tv screen. Yes deffinitly no talent what so ever. If grabbing one's crotch, slashing people through lyrics, and threatening is considered a talent, then I award him for being the biggest a** in music history.

Well 50cent sucks, but Eminem does write all his songs, and if you didn't see him perform them and just heard someone read them the lyrics are very sad most of the time. I think he's had a hard life, but do I feel sorry for him. NO

unlike 50 cent.. eminem wrote his own songs initially.. he also paid to have his demos put out.. i believe in the beginning he was extremely talented but due to times not being hard anymore he has dropped off somewhat.. and yes he produces albums and can play the drums..
