I just want to know if things can be more livelier.. is theire someone who will take an older man that has just givin up on making tommorow a better place.....

When my life became gray, I made an effort to search out one shiny thing each day. Sometimes, all I could find was a discarded bit of chewing gum wrapper. But it was shiny, so it added some sparkle to my life.
In my continuing search, I learned that the pussywillows bloom in February. Those little harbingers of spring, bless their hearts...
I found interesting architecture in the cracks of the sidewalks. Imagine the engineering behind the force that caused them to go just that way...
I discovered that little girls do still wear pink dresses...sometimes they even wear their fairy or princess outfits to the grocery store.
I sought out some of that "who cares, I'm happy" attitude within myself, and found it. More importantly, I showed it. Sometimes I even got so bold as to wear mis-matching socks in public!
It took nearly 3 years of searching, but eventually my life was filled with color again. No longer was I always staring at a black-&-white photo, wishing that it would change.
I still find gum wrappers - and now they make me smile. I pick them up and deposit them in the trash, all the while remembering that it was those shiny objects that restored the flair in my life.
And now I am anxiously awaiting my 50th birthday - it can't get here soon enough. For when I am 50, I may always wear mis-matched socks. I will at least wear a smile.

Life does get better when you least expect it. Believe me I know. Been as low as anyone can get, then God answered my prayers.
