When I was 16 I fell hard for this one guy. He had a girlfriend at the time so nothing happened then. Years went by, I was about 21 and I met up with him one night at a bar. We started dating right after that, because he was no longer with that girl that he was madly in live with. I thought I was in love with him at the time because I had wanted him for so long. Anyway, it wasn't love. He was in a band and he warned me that he would not be free all the time. He even asked me if that would be o.k. because if it wasn't o.k. with me then we couldn't be together. I accepted that. I think about 2 weeks went by and we got into a fight, and we hadn't talked in 3 to 4 days, I thought it was over but stupid me. I went to a bar one night with my sister because I was so upset that he dumped me. My sister tried to set me up with some geek that night, so I went to one of my guy friends to pretend I was dating him. Truth is my real boyfriend was there, I just didn't know he was there, and I didn't know he was still my boyfriend. He saw me "pretending" and then he really did dump me. I tried so much to explain the whole thing and all he kept saying was "I told you I was in a band, and I wouldn't always be free."
Man, did I kick myself down for that one.
But, it was the best two weeks of my life.

My daughters father, we were best friends for 10 years dated for three years off and on left two years came back got engaged for a year 1/2. That s when I got pregnant the last time within a week after getting back together. I always did love him and still do to this day. We broke up because he is very arrogant and thinks he knows everything, emotionally abusive at times, and physical when really drunk and doesn't get his way, he is a spoiled brat, not to mention that 2 weeks after I had our daughter he left me and the baby in the apartment for three days with no car, no money, no phone, no food, and I could barely walk because I had stitches. If it wouldn't have been for his friends stopping by to see the baby we would not have had any food. Then when he came home he said that he had been rolling on ex at a friends house. So I left. He didn't come around for a year. And when I would call to see if he wanted to see the baby. He said I was pushing my daughter on him. And let me mind you that he asked for the baby. So That's why we broke up.

I was married when I was 18 and my ex-husband had just turned 19. We were together off and on for almost 10 years but he kept cheating on me. Finally he moved back to the state he was from and I've never seen him again. I was devestated at first but after about a month I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted. Several months later I met my second husband and we've been together for 16 years and married for 15 so I have a very happy ending.

It "was" love at first site when my ex first met!!! We fell in love!!it was beautiful, and it was the best, we were best friends and lovers. We dated for a lil over a yr...we went to mexico for spring break..after that..for some reason we lost our connection, the spark, the love...you'd think it woulda been better..lol!!! anyways thing where great!! the best!!! then we just slowly started doing our own things..school, and work, and friends...I felt unwanted...so I would always talk about breaking up and I'd ask him and he would say no..but I felt like he didnt love me or want to be with me...sooooo..we had a "talk" and that was it and now to this day I would do anything to get him back...I only love him more than ever...Youl dont know what you had til it's gone! thats so damn true..

I met and fell in love with a co-worker. We were both in the midst of relationships (3 years for me, about a year for her). We started talking and it was like a nuclear bomb went off . . . I have a masters degree, she was an attorney going for her master's in law (LLM). We had incredible conversations, physically we were both very attractive people . . . everything clicked sans the other relationships we were so desperately trying to end.

The end was sort of a two-fold situation. First, she had a difficult time starting a new relationship that began while she was currently dating someone. Second, she got a job that was quite a distance from mine. To this day I think about her . . . we saw each other a couple of years after our breakup and the spark was still there . . . we were then both married to different people.

It was the most intense, passionate (physically and intellectually) relationship of my life . . .thanks for letting me share!
