I'm going to college overboard for just one year and she's going to college locally... she is already making me one of those picture calendars where every month is another picture of us. What should I make for her? Preferably more personal- with pictures but Im leaving in 3 days... something quick!

Wow! Congratulations on the start of a new and exciting time in your life.
Your friend would probably be really excited if you gave her a phone card to call you over seas. I know it might cost you some money but,maybe not much. If you got her a card with 360 minutes on it (if you can afford it) then you can put it in a card with 12 coupons that say this entitiles the holder to 30 minutes of chat time monthly. The phone cards will stop really high bills on her cell/house phone and will give you both a chance to touch base monthly.

First,congratulation!!!
I'm happy for you both .I know how it feels to leave a best fried
behind.The bottom line is,both of you are doing what must be done.
If you are to present her a gift in which she can remember you, give her anything . It can be your picture, a pen, a book or it can even be 2 or 3 hairs of yours !!!
As I understood ,the bad news is you miss each other.The
good news is, your n't leaving for good !!!
Second, Either you will go back to her [after completing your studies] or she might follow your foot steps next. YOU NEVER KNOW !!!

What about a CD Rom with digital pictures of the 2 of you downloaded to music...sort of like a Power Point presentation?

if you have a lot of digital photos of the two of you together you could put them on a CD for her as a slide show along with some music in the background... maybe some voiceovers.. or if you have some videos you could make some movies. these would be easy to make if you have imovie, I don't know the equivalent windows software. there are lots of photo things you can get made for her -- cups, t-shirts, plates (!), cutting boards (believe it or not), little photo albums.. you could just order one from say, ofoto, and have it delivered to her while you are gone.

Go on line and search Friendship Poems, Find one you feel tells the story of your friendship... Copy and paste it to a document (be sure to site the author) Change the font to a beautiful scrolling script.. Print on a lovely piece of stationary and frame..
If you are creative with words you can write a poem of your own...

Buy a regular frame, decorate it(be creative) then find a VERY nice picture of the two of you and put it in the frame now she can display that around her room or house and then she won't forget you.

well i was gonna say a scrap book but those take a while so buy a nice little photo album and put pictures and decorate it like a scrapbook just smaller and write little notes and things like that

Make a scrapbook or fabric covered photo album for her and put pics inside with captions of the two of you together.

A scrapbook of all the photos that contains the both of you spending time together or a video tape of yourself saying goodbye to her.

if you have lots of pictures of you to get some paper together and like ribbon or a photo album but turn it into a scrapbook/memory book
