We have been tring to break our 4 year old son on chewing with his mouth open. It doesn't drive me to nuts, unless they are setting beside me. But boy does it drive my husband nuts. He is always saying something to our son.

Can't stand people who chew with their mouth open-why the grating disgusting noises and atrocious manners. Food tastes the same with mouth closed so why eat like a pig.I try to tolerate but if it goes on too long to point where it is really bothering me tell in a nice way, initially.

Not when they keep their mouth closed while doing so. BUT smacking food, gum, etc. should be legal grounds for a severe beating!!! And then their parents should be kicked for not teaching them proper manners.

no, except loud chewing with so much noise. as long as the other person closes his/her mouth it does not piss me off.

YES!!! I cannot stand to hear somebody munching away. No slurping, munching, crunching...none of it! But I ESPECIALLY hate smacking and slurping. Makes me wanna smack them right in the mouth!

if we're sitting around eating chips i dont care but when we're out for dinner somewhere and thers other people around and they eat with their mouths open, smack their lips and all that i just think its poor manners
