Can a Juicy Couture Sidekick 2 (from TMobile) work if you use other phone companies' simcard (ex. Cingular, Verizonwireless, etc.)?

If all you plan on doing with it is making/receiving telephone calls, SMS and MMS. You WILL NOT be able to access the internet with it because it was designed to access the internet through DANGER. They are the makers of the Sidekick and have an exclusive deal with T Mobile in regards to the phones and internet service. No T Mobile account, no internet. Even if the phone is UNLOCKED from use on T Mobile, it will still have the T Mobile software on it. Don't bother attempting to download ringtones, wallpaper and what not from your carriers website/service because when you do it's going to see that your phone is registered with another service and you'll get nothing but errors.
There is going to be a lot research and web searching that will need to be done to get the Sidekick to work properly with a carrier other than T Mobile. If you're not looking to put forth the effort - don't buy it.
The Sidekick will only work with carriers that use the GSM techology. Stateside/Canada those would be Cingular, T Mobile and Rogers.

yes it can. All phones using GSM technology ( sim card) can be used with other carriers in the USA and Canada but need to get unlocked. Meaning that if you have the Juicy Couture Sidekick 2 and it was both at TMobile then the signal is locked to TMobile only. When you unlock the phone, (meaning you unlock the signal) you will be able to you that phone with any other carriers, just pop in the sim card and go. Now to unlock the phone, you will have to do a bit of local research to find small shop/individuals that offer unlocking services. Price depends on your phone. Prices varie from 10 to 50$
PS : when given a price over 20$, try to bargin a little ;)

properly first of all they no longer make Sidekick id's & Sidekick 2's except she's procuring it Preowned (USED) off a area like Ebay or Craigslist. properly i'd advise the Sidekick 2008, that's the newsest Sidekick avaliable via T-cellular, I even have one that is rather relaxing & alot of celebrity's very own Sidekicks. wish you have chose One! =)
