About three years ago, I heard on the news, CNN I believe, of a Russian guy who put gasoline in his washing machine to get the paint off his clothes and his kitchen blew up. Has anyone heard if he survived?

There was a guy in St Paul recently who did the same thing. Guess he didn't hear about the first one.

Yes, but he was burned over 70% of his body and died several days later.

I wonder how it could have blown up, possible to catch fire , but I doubt it could explode,
