Yes my parents are still together and still madly crazy in love... They have been together 39 years...
I once asked them seperattely what the secret thier secret to a long and happy marriage was, they both answered the same..
"Never go to bed angry with each other even if you have to stay up all night. Make the last words before each parting I love you. Whenever you enter a room always look for your love and make eye contact. No matter how chaotic life becomes take time to walk hand and hand just talking at least once a month"

My parents have been together for 47 years and still going. Dad has been having a ruff time over the past couple years as Moms personality has chaged do to Alzheimers Disease..phycally she is the same except for wrinkles, but her memory, her love, her life is nolonger as they were. She doesnt remember him, but Dad holds onto the loving, caring, wife she was. He still makes sure she is safe and well taken care of in their home. He still wants kisses and hugs, even hold hands, but she pushes him away, but its not just him, anyone. Dad gave her a kiss, she said "Im Gonna tell." I know his heart is crushed his soulmates body is still here, but the mind left years ago. I think she knows that he is someone she can count on, so yeah im sure she loves him. She is looking through a childs eyes.

my parents were high school sweethearts and are still married 40 yrs. later. They have a deep abiding love that grows over the years. It fills in the weaknesses and misgivings they each have.
my grandparents are going on 65 yrs this December. They have left our family a wonderful legacy of faithfulness and unselfish living. My gma had a stroke last year and he stayed at her side until she went home. he left only when his kids or the nurses insisted he go home and get some sleep and something to eat. I wish I had that to look forward to.

My parents were married 53 years before my dad died. They were NOT in love with each other. My entire childhood was filled with their terrible fighting. My older sister ran away from home several times, but my dad always found her and brought her back. She finally left at 17 and moved across the country to get away from all of it. My dad and mom actually hated each other. I was always the one in the middle to take messages back and forth. My dad grew up in a family with no father (his died at a young age). He did not want my sister and I to grow up without a father, so he stayed with my mom. They never shared a bed, in fact the didn't share the house. Mom lived upstairs and dad lived downstairs. I can assure you that staying together for the kids is a terrible mistake.

My parents are still married, almost 50 years, but my dad is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. My mom is heartbroken, misses him, feels guilty that she can't take care of him and he is over 2 hours away so she can't visit him much. She told me she goes to bed at night and cries, nothing but the empty side of the bed next to her.
