I've been having a problem with a virus. I bought Norton anti-virus and it is better now, but still not right. I have this thing called Brave Sentry that keeps popping up on my desktop. I've tried deleting it and uninstalling it and shredding it with Windows Washer and it keeps coming back.
Is it what's causing my problem? And how do I get rid of it for good?

Brave Sentry is a browser hijack.

See the attached article, Castle Cops are the best.

Brave Sentry will NOT be removed from your computer using the methods you listed because it is spyware. It planted itself into your registry which can be harmful to your computer to remove if you don't know what you are doing. Hope this link helps.

hi,perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:
