Have a talk with her about this. If she is more interested in the TV than she is in you, it is time to say bye-bye and get out of there.

Well i guess that would depend on whether or not you want to keep competing with the tv. I would at least try and talk to the other person first and let them know how you are feeling first, if that doesn't work then try turning the cable off and if they start to get violent with you when you do, then it's time to leave. Is he distracted that easily by cable? It sounds like he found something that's more important than you. You should ask yourself, 'Was cable the only reason he stopped showing interest? I guess there's a good side to this. At least he didn't replace you with another women.

The novelty of the new cable TV will wear off. Real soon I suspect with the programming these days. Relax. Have a beer.

Talk it over with your significant other. Inform them that you don't want to just veg out in front of either the idiot box or computer and prefer to be active. Communications is the answer and hopefully you will be brave enough to say what really needs to be said and it will be accepted in a mature manner. Best of luck to you.

Hey, give her some space, for god's sake; it's only been going on for a few days. She doesn't owe you every minute of her time.
