Im a Pagen and we don't believe in taking showers. It kills everything that God gives us. One time I went to work, and the manager told me to go home cause he said that I stunk, I told him that im Pagen and we don't believe in showers. He told me that if I didn't thak a shower that he would have to fire me. Well I got fired. Was it right for him to fire me, or did he violate freedom of religion?

You're an idiot.

1) If you're pagan, learn to spell it correctly.

2) 'Pagan' is a generalisation for any religion that isn't Christianity, Judaism, or Islam (and before anyone yells at me, that *is* the definition. Go look it up in a dictionary.) It is not a particular religion in itself.

3) I've never heard of any pagan religion prohibiting someone from cleaning themself. You're full of it. Go take a shower.

Actually the employer can fire you for that. He is not firing you because you are pagan, but because you aren't taking showers. If you that your workplace requires constant showering and good hygeine then you shouldn't have applyed for a job there. I'm trying to say this in the nicest way possible so you can understand. Try finding a job where hygeine isn't as big of a concern as in the workplace. Because smells in a cramped workplace will not only affect others, but yourself as well.

He didn't violate your freedom of religion. Freedom to practice and believe does not protect you against general health requirements.

And of the thousands of pagans I've personally known, you're the first one I've ever heard of that doesn't take showers.

He did not violate you're freedom of religion. You're free to practice your religion and not bath. Your employer also has a right and duty to maintain an environment with proper hygiene. He has every right to fire you.

some states have "work at will" laws. Employers don't need a reason for letting you go.

So do you believe in bathing at all?
