aside from being illegal what are your thoughts on polygamy?

I am not advocating forcing young girls into marriage with men..my question is strictly concerned with whether or not a person would actually want more than wife, or whether a woman would want to be one of many wives to a man...

I think if there were only 10 men on the planet and 50 women, polygamy would make sense if the goal were to continue the human race.

Given the fact that there are 6 billion people on the planet and only a little more than half of them are female, I would say polygamy is a pathetic excuse for men with serious control issues to act out their fantasies of power and that it has NOTHING to do with God or "God's Will. It's about their own adolescent mental staus that controls their "willy".

And as far as "marrying" children under 17, let's all have some balls here people and call a PEDOPHILE a pedophile.
There's no way around that one. They are child molestors and that is ALWAYS wrong.
