wel if you can sit next to them thats a good start. and the look hold eye contact for a second and then look down real fast is a good hey i like you signal. and just talking is fine but you need to touch the person on the arm after you relax a little this is another sign that hey i like you alot

Eye contact doesn't really tell anyone anything nowadays. Just be upfront and honest, and say something like, "You're pretty fun to hangout with, here's my phone number (or e-mail). Give me a ring (or shoot me an e-mail) if you want to do anything." If the object of your affection doesn't respond in 2 weeks or so, just contact the person, if you can, and just say something like, "Sorry, but I've been really busy lately. Did you try contacting me earlier?"

Depends on your personality and the opportunities presented. I'm overt when it comes to advances, so I tend to take the direct approach.
I would always choose talking to the other person. If you're not sure how much you want to discuss about what you want when you're talking to the person, then flirtation is always fun and entertaining, and a great way to feel out the other person's feelings about you.

eye contact and confidence is keen guy, so don't say anythign over the phone. Just ask them if they ever had more than just friendly feelings for you. Complement them more, show you want to be more than a friend. Good luck

I don't know your age, but I know it's hard to get up the nerve to tell someone at any age. Telling him directly is the best approach.

Remember the three C's- calm cool and casual (that sounds tacky but it works). Tell him it's not a big deal and that you don't want him to feel pressure or anything, but just say that you at least owe him to telling him how you feel. If he doesn't like you back, you tried. If he does.. then you just got yourself a date!
