to a mental illness, and they weren't the same person any more? How do you cope?

hi there!im denise in texas,and this is what i know,my bf died 6 yrs ago from mental illness and she was only 36 years old and left behind three kids,i never knew it was possible to die from the disease but it is possible!it was very sad and quite suprising,most people take their meds and seek counseling and take care of theirselves but unfortunatly my friend didnt,she was taking too much of the wrong medicine and not enough of the right meds,encourage your friend to get help,it is available toany one,take care and pray for your friend
