Well... it's different. My rule of thumb as far as naming a child, is how is this going to look to an employer, on their resume, or how will the child be perceived by peers, or influential people. If the name really means something special to you, then by all means.

Anytime you name your child an unusual name you run the risk of people giving them a hard time...People will always have to ask how to pronounce it, and spell it. If you still want to use the name, think of the things it can rhyme with.

I like that name! Plus, a lot of people are naming their kids more off-beat names. Worst case scenario -- if she doesn't like it she can change it when she grows up (a friend of mine changed her name).

NO! That's a very pretty name!... Where do you live? Down here in FL everyone is different and so are their names!! Maybe in a small conservative town it'll be different but still very pretty!

I think if you have to ask, then you really arent comfortable with the name, reminds me of that one model tacarra. I think she will have her named spelled wrong a lot , but good luck.

no. i have a "different" sounding name. i love my name...but sometimes it can get frustrating when ppl miss spell or pronounce it. but i think that if you like that name then don't worry about what others say or think.
