i was just wondering because i got "yelled" at for calling him P.Diddy when i was talking about danitykane.

I don't know for sure, but I think people just started calling him that and he adopted it. Long before he was officially going by Diddy, I heard people call him that on t.v interviews and what not.

I still call him Puff Daddy. I listened to him when I was young. He changes his name because he knows his musical career, but not his business career is fledgling (declining). He thinks that hopefully if he changes his name he might attract a wider audience.

I have no idea, but he's changed his name to many different things... Maybe just to keep us asking why he keeps changing his name. I like his mid 90's hits with Biggie and other various artists, but now he just sounds like everyone else... It sucks =(
