No. I think because our society is so prudish the opposite is true.

Yes - people make sex into something "TABOO" so it becomes a huge deal. If people didn't get sticks up their as*es about sex, other people wouldn't find it quite as appealing. Don't get me wrong, I love sex, but it isn't the ONLY important thing in the world, and many people (men) think it is. Men also mistake hormones for reality. Just because their hormones are telling them to have sex all the time, doesn't mean that they should focus their whole lives on having sex.

No. I think that it's more like our culture's adolescent--alternately prurient and prudish. We're obsessed with it, yet we feel guilt over it. We care too much about what others do and what others think.
