I basically chew up meat and food and then I regurgitate it into my kittens mouth so she can feed on it. I want to do this the natural way like it is done in the wild.

I do this 4 times a day for my cat.

It seems very unhappy and barely plays and sleeps all day. When its time to feed the kitten knows and runs away from me. Is this normal? Is that how its done in the wild?
Am I the only one that does this?

What kind of meat? I hope not something from the GROCERY store! You should be buying birds from the PET store, and chewing THOSE up, Feathers, beaks, and all for the keratin content. Vary the diet that you feed with Feeder mice, and the occasioanl feeder goldfish (not the KOI, that gets expensive, trust me). Good luck

Hun, I do think that you are the only one that does this!! It is birds that do this for their young. Kittens just need kitten food. They can eat it on their own. You can try canned food. It is soft and easy for a small kitten to eat. As it gets a little bigger, start mixing a little canned food with some dry crunchy food. Then work up to all dry food. Dry food is better for your pets because it helps keep their teeth strong and clean, less messy when they poop too! You can also try just a little milk maybe twice a day. You don't want to give them too much milk, it's not good on their tummys. Try mixing with a little water, especially if it is whole milk. If you just feed your kitten and let her eat on her own, keep her litter box clean and give her lots of love and affection, she will be a happy kitty!! Good luck!!

No this is not normal!! There are kitten milk replacements, but bye the age of three months your kitten should be able to eat hard food. Your cat is probably lethargic due to poor nutrition. So the sooner you get your kitten on a proper diet, such as Iams kitten food the better of your kitten will be.

Um...I think you are confusing kittens with birds. Mama cats usually feed their kittens like other mammals do, through their boobs. Try doing that and see if you have a happier kitty.

That's just wrong. I hope to God you're kidding! A kitten cat eat solids on it's own as soon as they get their teeth in-which is usually about 4 weeks old! How old is yours?

Ummm...buy some cat food and stop the freakish behavior. Your cat will be much better off. You may want to seek help by the way, that is just wierd.

that's just creepy, but i dont think regurgutate is the word to use, unless you actually swallow it first.

just feed them milk and some chicken strands(when they're older) cants dont regurgitate food for their young, only wold dogs/ jackals/hyenas do that... and most wild birds.
