To relieve hiccups turn her on her back and find the apex of her rib cage in the center of her chest.

Place your fingers just below this area and with slight pressure rub in a steady slow motion in one direction.

Hiccups happen when the diaphram gets excited or spasms. rubbing gently in a circluar motion will soothe the diaphram abd her aching tummy which is probably sore from having them so frequently. A warm towel across her tummy will also help when your hand gets tired and needs a break.

The hiccups should decrease in strength and slowly subside but I would give a warm towel on the stomach for at least 30 mins and allow it to cool naturally so her mucsles relax and cool as well.

Three kids all colic and hiccups a nurse taught me the warm towel and Gram the tummy rub... Thanks for them when I needed help.

Most likely the soothing rub and warm towel will also put her to sleep most of the time.

I know I have a four month old now and he had relly bad gas too, I wouldnt be able to sleep because I constantly thought he was awake making all these noises. It has got increasingly better as time has gone on. The doctor told me that their systems are not completely developed, once they get used to passing the gas it should get better. The hiccups are normal, my son still gets them a lot and I know it seems like they might bother them, but there is really nothing you can do about it. Some people will say give them water in a bottle, but personally I do not think that is a good idea. Talk to your doc about it and they will tell you what is best.

Mylacon drops, you can get them at the drug store. Give them a drop or two after they eat, and the gas is gone. It's for babies, so it won't hurt them at all.

Oops, saw the mylacon comment after. Try playtex gentle flow bottles, and burp her every two ounces. If you can't get a burp, gently rock her back and then forward again a couple of times, this should work the bubble up. Take her off similac, it made both my kids sick. We changed both to Parents Choice. Good luck

Dont leave her suffering call the doctor in the morning.Heres a way that you can help sooth her tummy:put a handtowel in the dryer and when its warm lay her tummy agaist it,and rub her back in small little circles from the bottom up.Also sucking helps relieve a babys tummy so if she has a pacifier let her use it.Dont pat her back trying to relieve her this will just upset her tummy more. You might also try a soy based formula.

The formula she is on my not be the right one. I know alot of babies can not tolerate regular Similac. Neither one of mine could they had to be on soy formula, but if it gets worse call the doc. In the meantime when she has a belly ache lay her on her back and push her knees to her belly and do like the bicycle motion. Not hard but it will help the gas come out.

usually, babies have always gas or colic during the first 3 months. so what u should do is burp him before, in the middle and after feeding. if he is expeiencing gas pains, put him on his tummy and rub the back. he will feel more comfortable on his tummy. mylicon is okay, ive tried that, but if u can do something to relieved the gas pains then do it first before giving him the mylicon, because ur baby's organs are is still immature. usually, the pediatrician (in singapore) advise that we should not give any medications to the baby if he is less that 3 mmonths old bec of immature liver otherwise needed.
even if ur baby is not experiancing gad pains, try to put him on his tummy, its good for them coz they r learning to carry their head, move the gas out and good for the eyesight too. but do not put pillow when u put him on his tummy. ooops! before i forget, its good for their lungs too.

Put 1 drop of peppermint extract in an 8oz bottle (water or formula is OK). Peppermint is a natural digestive aide. You can also make a tea from Fennel seeds. That is soothing as well.

Call your Dr in the morning, but in the mean time try a warm bath, or laying the baby on his or her tummy and rub their back sometimes this helps.

ok i had the same problem with my son who is now 5 months old .. about 3 months ago i switched him from enfamil lipil with iron to enfamil gentlease lipil NO IRON and he's doing WAY better. ask your doctor about it and they can give you a sample to try for like 2 weeks and see if that helps.. i dont even have to use the mylicon drops anymore. he's happier and healthier i believe. the gentlease is made for gasey and fussy babies . . so give it a try

I don't bottle feed, but could it be that she's sensitive to the formula? I would speak to her doctor; it's hard to see your child so uncomfortable for so long.
