I've never craved anything when on my period. Well now for the first time i have. I had ice cream, peanut butter cookies and sugary cereal bars, and random sugary things (i usually don't splurge like this). Does anyone else crave sweet and salty foods when on their period? This is normal, right?

Also, when i get these cravings, they're unstoppable. Like i will NOT stop until i have that cookie, and if i do try to stop my cravings, they are on my mind constantly until i get it.

i carve salty things during my periods...and ma mum carve sweety things...so really..it's normal

I am exactly the same way. It's always some type of chocolate with something salty. I think most women have these cravings.

Even though it's a small amount of blood loss during menstruation (usually) the body is craving what it's losing, sugar and salt.

Some people crave sweets, especially chocolates, others crave potato chips for the salt. Eat it in moderation. Also eat red meat to replace the iron.

Funny you say that because when I'm on my period I eat alot of chocolate I drink chocolate milk I eat rocky road ice cream and I eat alot of potato chips when I'm on my period too your normal you have nothing to worry about this makes me think of the words on the movie white chicks "will you go get me some midol and a sneakers i'm just a nervous wreck don't look at my *** my *** is fat" hahahaha speaking of sneakers I eat those too ohhh and I gotta have Pepsi!!!

I'm PMSing and the soul reason I know it is because I get an uncontrollable urge to binge on pretzels, fig newtons, and vanilla yogurt. I get strange cravings like that allll at once.
