I finished high school with a 3.4(took mostly honor classes) I only got a 19 on the ACT, got my BS and finished with a 3.0, I'm working on my master's and currently have a 3.8. I was in the army national guard while I was in college. You'll be fine. I'd suggest joining the Air Guard or Air force reserve. I switched from the Army Guard to AF reserve and was impressed on how much more academically sound the AF is compared to the Army. The air force prepares you for college.
