It is possible, if the wiring in your house was done extremely wrong... (same, and more probable with the telephone) Usually houses are wired with a "ground" connection which would send the lightning straight to the ground

Via TV, never heard of it. So not certain, but I would think not. My husband is pretty versed in this area...and he and I watch TV during thunderstorms. Nothing has happened, and I don't think it will. But I personally have been zapped by a strike of lightning over the phone; a landline. Talk about a headache afterwards! Shees! I was okay, and still am...but talk about a head rush! Shees!

It is possible but you have to be real close to the tv. It can come through your phone line and strike you.

Having been raised it the Tampa Bay area (aka lightning strike capital of the world).
I can tell you that as far as the t.v. goes. Yes tha lightning can come through your t.v. but unless you are holding it or sitting on it you are safe.

But the telephone is a different story. Lightning can and has come through the telephone and struck people who have been on the phone during a storm.

No i do no longer EJ. Infact I placed the lights fixtures directly to illuminate the room. I even have photograph-tender epilepsy and a seizure might properly be introduced on by ability of the effect of lightening that's unhappy becaude i like storms.
