"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now? Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." --John Lennon

I think there is life in other solar systems. I think it's unlikely that any of these are nearby, close enough to visit us. If intelligent life could have evolved here, it could happen on other planets. Almost 50 years ago, a group of scientists tried to estimate the likelihood of this. They came up with what is called the Drake Equation. Both the links below take you to pages where you can see this, and play with the values that are used to come up with a number.

The problem is that since the universe is so big, and time is so long, it's unlikely that there will be another civilization nearby that is able to come visit us. So to me, UFOs are more likely to be some sort of natural phenomenon that people automatically think is a UFO.

I do believe in aliens and I believe that it is possible some more advanced civilizations have developed space faring technologies that allow them to travel to distant star systems, maybe some have visited us. I think the odds are low but it's possible.

I do not believe in classical UFOs as popularized in urban legend and folklore. I am a reasonably advanced amateur astronomer. I have several close friends who share the hobby and I have had the pleasure of meeting many other astronomers, amateur and professional. I've never met, or even heard of one who has seen what they thought was a UFO. We're talking about a very large group of trained observers who spend their nights outside looking up. Before I realized this truth I had my suspicions about many UFO accounts, just as I have about accounts of ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. In the end I come to realize they're all made up stories, hallucinations, or misinterpretations.

As far as aliens, whether we are the only planet or not, aliens exist. Some are legal, some are considered illegal :)

We would be foolish to believe we are the only ones in the galaxy.

I don't believe every UFO sighting people claim to have seen. But I'm sure something else is out their.

Yes. How can u claim something doesn't exist just because we cant see it when we live in a world of magnetism, gravity and "Space-time"???!! Anyway, How many hours a night do you spend looking at the sky? You cant see anything if your not looking at it.
You people have a lot to learn about reality.
Only incredibly stupid people believe they DON'T exist.

I think that as big as the universe is it would be hard for me to say that there isn't any other life forms out there.

I mean there are creatures in some of the harshest parts of the Earth's oceans scientist couldn't believe that they would be able to exist there.
