how do i do it i have overdrive on my amp and tone controls how do i get a thick distortion without the use of pedals?

IF YOU HAVE AN OVERDRIVE BUTTON ON THE AMP PRESS IT IN. ADJUST THE LOW TO AROUND 8 OR 9 ADJUST THE MID TO 7 OR 8 AND ADJUST THE HIGH TO 1 OR 2. THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU A DEEP GRUNDGE SOUNDING SOUND. IF YOU DON'T WANT THAT MUCH ADJUST THE HIGH TO A HIGHER NUMBER.

I think it's master volume up, and use the other to control the loudness. Either way, it can be hard to control, so pedals, might be a wise investment in the long run.

turn up the volume all the way, and use the master volume to control your volume
or maybe it's the other way around, but one way will work
