5-3/(8-2(6-3(5-4)+3)
= 5 - 3/(8 - 2(6 - 3(1) + 3))
= 5 - 3/(8 - 2(6-3+3))
= 5 - 3/(8-2(6))
= 5 - 3/(8-12)
= 5 - 3/-4
= 5 + 3/4
= 20/4 + 3/4
= 23/4

Is is 5 - 3/(....) or is it (5-3)/(....)?

Take it step by step. First we do the inner most prenthesis.

(5-4) = 1

Next,

6 - 3(1) + 3 =

6

Next,

8 - 2(6) = -4

Therefore,

5 - (3 / -4) =

5 + 3/4 =

20/4 + 3/4 =

23/4
