What is your opinion of America? If you have ever been here, do YOU think this is the best place to live? Why or why not? Seriously!!!

I'm from Europe and have family and friends in USA. Though I really like my friends and family and love spending time with them I could never settle down in the USA. I'm going for holidays next year for a month and I think it's going to be great, but I think that american set of moral values, importance they give to money and lack of widely available education really puts me off even considering living there. I live in Scandinavia and for me this is the best place in the world to live and raise a family, because I highly regard safety, education standard (it's basically free), health care, equality and civil rights (officially the most democratic country in the world). But as I said, I think visiting US will be great experience and I'm looking forward to it.

I have never been to America, but based on info from TV and magazines, it's a great place to visit and eventually settle in. I like most (not all) of USA's policies and values. And I guess, majority of the Filipinos feel the same, that is why there is always a long line of VISA applicants in the US embassy here in our country.
