I have it on good authority (though I cannot reveal my secret source) that "Rory Emerald is a famous Hollywood personality and even more famous trickster. Some folks even say he's the Antichrist."
Personally, I had always thought Rory Emerald was the Dr. Jekyll to Karl Rove's Mr. Hyde (Rove=Rory, i.e., "roary"), but I stand corrected. My secret source is NOT to be doubted. His/her percentage of Best Answers on Yahoo! Answers is 76%, more or less; his area of expertise is (yep, you guessed it) Rory Emerald. What better qualifications can one have than that?
My secret source goes on to suggest "that the "person or thing" below this answer is stalking Mr. Rory Emerald. How scary!"

According to the NY Times, a thorough and detailed accounting of Rory Emerald is about to be published by Simon & Shuster next month. They held an interview with the author of "The Life and Times of Rory Emerald," a Mr. Snowy Dragon, who has spent much of his adult life gathering factual data on this elusive man and has finally compiled all of this priceless information into this projected masterpiece of literary work, which is reported to be in excess of four thousand pages long. Reportedly, Snowy has been fighting with Simon & Shuster's editor in chief, Jodie Foster, as to its length. If any attempts are made to abridge his work, Snowy threatened to remove it from the market once and for all. Fearing that, both editors and publishers have backed down and relented to it being released as a twelve volume set.
Other than this interview, Snowy is staying out of the public view. He fears retribution from Rory, as this will be the first time Rory's life will be completely exposed. Rumors abound centering on Rory's wrath over this whole happening. Reportedly, Rory hasn't been this upset since the birth of his illegitmate love duck in Namibia a few weeks ago.

I've wondered about this, for I see the name mentioned often in these questions. Someone said he and Hemingway were the greatest authors, and someone said Hugh Hefner seemed to be in love with him. What nonsense! Hemingway is far from being the greatest author, and I never heard of Rory until a few days ago. Hugh has never been accused of being a gay man. At age 80, I imagine his days of sex are over. I cannot comprehend why people would tell such tales about anyone.
