Bare Minerals Foundation OR Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. It's a tie.

It's expenisve ($25) but they work MIRACLES. I love the foundation because its so light and looks like you are wearing nothing, but covers up my redness and acne like it was never there. If I wear nothing else, its that...and a little goes a long way, so its not like you dont get the best bang for you buck.

The mineral veil, which is the same price, basically makes your face look poreless and flawless. It's a translucent powder that has JUST minerals in it. You can even put it on to sleep in, and it'll make your skin look better. I've been using the stuff for months, and people say that my skin looks 100% different. Many of them didn't even know what I was doing to look different, just that I looked amazing.

Yep, those are my two!

My ProActive would be a close third, however. It helps with acne, and keeps my skin moisturized and clear. I've been using it since I was 11 (so almost 6 years), and I don't think I could go more then a week without it.

You should give both the Bare Minerals AND the ProActive (if you have acne) a try.

But I bet you look beautiful no matter what you wear, or don't wear, or how much it cost or how cheap it was. Make-Up is great...but it's the person who it's on that makes it look so fabulaous.

BARE ESCENTUALS! :)

It is AMAZING - it looks like your skin has no makeup. You won't break out with it on - you can even sleep with it on (not that I recommend it) Just try it - also there should be a how-to dvd in the kit. I've seen it at Ulta - those kits usually sell out. It should come with Warmth (which isn't a bronzer - but it does give you that outdoorsy look) So far the stuff is amazing, I've converted almost all the ladies that I work with to use Bare Minerals. If you don't like it - check with Ulta on their money-back policy. I highly think that you will not need to return it. It has been the best investment that I've made on this makeup - and it DOES NOT Expire! I've been using it for 2 years and I wish I had started when I was your age - because who knows what sort of effect that the chemicals in foundations and pressed cosmetics has had on my skin.

As for the color that you choose - make sure you have an Ulta personnel help you out. The colors are pretty forgiving - so if you tan easily in the summer, the color you choose will still work - just make sure to blend on your neck. Good luck and I know you will turn into a believer!

My favourites:

Lip Plump by Pout is amazing, looks great and really does plump up your lips.

Highbeam by Benefit, a sort of pearlised illuminator - dab it on your browbones and cheekbones (a little goes a long way) to make them stand out - people always comment on how good my skin looks when I wear this.

Finally, a subtle make up tip that makes a huge difference is to groom your eyebrows (tweezerman tweezers are the best I've found) and FILL THEM IN with a coloured powder slightly darker than your hair colour - I have been using Clinique for years, I can't think of the name of the product but it comes in a little compact with brush, powder and a gel to 'set' them. I mostly just use the powder, but it makes a massive difference to my face.

I wash with phisoderm soap morning and night and do the neutrogena micro-dermabrasion treatment followed by olay definity lotion about every other day. I wear no makeup and my skin looks great, it is clear and glowing ( Geez that sounds conceited, sorry I don't mean to). I am 34 and people always guess me to be much younger like in my early 20's. Here are the web sites of these products if you want to learn more I think some of them have free samples as well.

I have lots, but if I had to choose one must have, it'd be Clinique's touch tints. I use them almost daily as a base underneath my eyeshadow, whether it's loose eyeshadow (like MAC pigments) or pressed eyeshadow.

There are many different colors of touch tints, but my personal favorite to use is nude shimmer. It's just a tad bit darker than my natural skin color (MAC's NC20), and it has a great shimmer to it. When I wear it alone, it opens up my eyes and evens out the skintone on my lids.

Either way you wear it, it's a fabulous primer/base as well as cream eyeshadow!

I just love Mary Kay. I have to have mascara and lipstick on when I go out and I always use the anti-aging moisturizing creme with spf 15.
