Disguise etc) is a wuss? He just sits in the control room, giving orders and only comes out to clean up with his big guns, looks like Rodimus Prime to me. Whatever happen to the REAL Optimus Prime?

I know that Optimus was killed in the Movie, and in the end of the last season of the original transformers he was brought back to live.
Is it really a personality change happened there ?(since he was "brought back to live" making him more "careful")...

Optimus was originally killed off in the first Transformers - The Movie back in the 1980s (I saw it as a kid). So they probably had to change him to fit with today's trends to keep Transformers popular.
