You should check with the former employer. I know a few years ago I left a job and I wasn't expecting to get any vacation pay, but about 2 weeks later they sent me a check.
I believe most do pay unused sick time, personal time and vacation time you've built up.

Depends on the company, some will pay you for the vacation time you have on the books, but some companies do not keep the time on the books and just allow a certain amount each year. You might be out of luck.

my understanding is yes they do have to pay your vacation pay if that is the way is is set up. must say VACATION if is says anything about personal days or sick days they do not have to pay. this is what I have been told. Call your employment agency for the correct answer for your state. Good Luck

Depending on how long you were with the company, and why you were fired, you should have negotiated your vacation owed as part of your severance package.

If you were fired for "cause" then they owe you nothing. If you were laid off check your severance package (if you got one). If you didn't get one than you are out of luck.
