You will need to take as many science and math courses that you can work into your schedule.
Yes, it would be a good idea to learn to follow instructions also which include using the spell check. You'll have to be detail conscious if you want to be a nurse. It's a challenging field and one that has a lot of competition. You will want to do the best you can do to find a place in the nursing program.

I am a nurse. Of course you have to go to high school or atleast take high school courses to become a nurse as you eventually have to go to college. As for college, it depends on how far you want to go as there are different levels in nursing. Why do you want to become a nurse anyways? it's such a stressful and unthankful job. speak to someone in the field before entering, don't be like me who is so "burnt out" right now. If I could have changed stuff, I wouldn't even consider it. Do your homework!!!

As a nurse it is adviseable to take biology, chemistry, math, english, most sciences dealing anatomy and human body, sports med is also good. When you get to college you will get a list of required classes to take and electives that are similar to your field. I work as a pediatric nurse myself and child psychology is always helpful.

I don't think you have to take anything special in high school, though some college prep classes may help, but isn't required. What classes you need for the program will be offered at the college you attend.

Talk to your school's guidance counselor. They are there to help you. If you don't get the answers you need ask them who you should speak to. Good luck! Nursing is a good career choice. They are in demand and it's an honorable job.

Generally science( biology, chemistry, math) and of course English...you have to be able to read/write/understand the Doctor's instructions; and in today's litigious society, keep good records.
