aw, hell...being grown up doesn't have anything to do with maturity or being responsible!!! all that means is that you've reached the height you're going to be the rest of your life. a person can be "grown up" and 35 years old, and have the maturity of a 17 year old. you know what I mean!

when you can handle being by yourself without needing any help, though adults need help once in a while as well. Also, knowing when to ask for help since those who aren't grown up might become stubborn thinking being totally independent is grown up.

According to an ex gf of mine, grown up is when women are capable of taking mature, assertive decisions; as for men, she claims we go from green to rotten without stopping at maturity.

Depends on your perspective. Most people seem to think it's: kids, a mortgage, a large fuel drinking car, a 9 - 5 job, voting for a major political party & thinking Nickleback is the beginning and ending of rock music.
In other words, dead bloody boring........

Well you will get different answers for this. Grown ups biggest definition i would say means that your have a stable career, own a house, and possibly have kids. You don't neccesarily have to be mature to be grown up.
